Knife Skills Screening and Discussion

November 7 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Knife Skills focuses on the launch of Edwins restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio. The high-class French restaurant is staffed almost entirely by men and women just out of prison. Most have never cooked or served before, and have barely two months to learn their trade. In this improbable setting, we discover the challenges of men and women finding their way after their release.

Following the film, there will be a panel discussion featuring:

Thomas Lennon – Director of Knife Skills, journalist, Academy Award-winning filmmaker

Sharon Richardson – Founder and CEO of Just Soul Catering

Paul Keefe – Supervising Attorney, Law Enforcement Bureau, New York City Commission on Human Rights

Rev. Daiken Nelson – Founder & Tenzo of Mandala Café/Mandala Kitchens

Registration recommended. Please RSVP at: fortunesociety.org/knife-skills
