America/New_York
The Forum at Columbia University, 601 W. 125th St., New York, NY 10027

Students are invited to attend the New York premiere of the documentary short film "PACT: Self-Empowerment in Green Haven Prison". The film tells the story of PACT, an organization created by incarcerated men inside New York's Green Haven Prison in the aftermath of the Attica Uprising whose members have worked collectively to improve their conditions for over 40 years. PACT has had a transformative impact on people inside and outside prison, including incarcerated individuals inside Green Haven and generations of Yale law students who have visited and participated in PACT since 1979.

After the documentary, there will be a panel discussion with former PACT members and current leaders of the Fortune Society, Release Aging People in Prison (RAPP), and Parole Preparation Project.
