Our 10th cohort of Beyond the Bars fellows began in October. Twenty-one new fellows have joined a long history of fellows who have participated in deepening their understanding of mass incarceration and connecting with other students, community members, and people directly impacted by incarceration. Fellows had an opening retreat where they learned more about each other and their stories. They will now focus on solidarity projects with local organizations that they will work on for the rest of the fellowship as well as weekly leadership development gatherings.
This year's Fellows bring a variety of expertise, personal experience, and passion to the Fellowship.
